GoVision Completes New South End Zone LED Display at TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium

Larger, higher-resolution display and technology upgrades enhance the game-day experience for Horned Frog fans

FORT WORTH, TX (October 6, 2026) – GoVision LLC, a premier provider of large-scale LED video solutions, has completed the installation of a new LED display in the South End Zone of TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium, providing a larger, higher-resolution platform for game-day content, replays, graphics, sponsorships and fan engagement.

The new 6.9mm LED display measures approximately 24.5 feet high by 39 feet wide and features a visible display area of 968 square feet, a resolution of 1720 x 1080 and more than 1.86 million pixels. The new display is approximately 25% larger than the previous board, creating a significantly larger canvas for TCU’s game-day presentation.

The size of the display offers another way to appreciate the scale of the upgrade. Standing roughly as tall as an NCAA football field goal post and more than twice as wide, the screen measures approximately 546 inches diagonally — equivalent to roughly 96 60-inch televisions.

Completed in September ahead of TCU’s 2026 football season, the project involved considerably more than the installation of new LED panels. GoVision removed the existing display, scoreboard and supporting structure before integrating the new system into the stadium’s existing primary structure.

“This project was about more than just the LED. We were integrating an existing screen and scoreboard while ensuring the existing structural elements aligned and connected seamlessly with the primary structure,” said Kollin Padon, Director of Project Management for Fixed Installations at GoVision.

The complexity of the project required extensive coordination between multiple teams and a detailed understanding of the original installation. Hutch Installations returned for the project, drawing on its experience with the original screen and scoreboard to support the demolition and reinstallation of the display.

The project also included an upgrade to TCU’s processing and content management system. GoVision also developed a solution that upgraded the system to a NovaStar H Series processing platform, improving image quality while providing TCU with additional processing capabilities and room for future growth.

The new South End Zone display builds on GoVision’s long-standing relationship with TCU. GoVision has provided service and repair support across the university’s LED displays for years, including on-site and game-day assistance. The South End Zone project was awarded through general contractor Linbeck following a referral from TCU’s technology department and marked GoVision’s first project with the firm.

“TCU has been a long-standing partner for GoVision, and this project was a great opportunity to build on that relationship while helping modernize one of the stadium’s most visible assets,” said Chris Curtis, Founder of GoVision. “This installation combines the technology, engineering and service support needed to give TCU a stronger platform for game day and continued performance for years to come.”

GoVision’s involvement with the project extends beyond installation. The company continues to service virtually every display across the TCU campus and provides dedicated game-day support throughout the football season. Typically, two to three GoVision technicians are on-site during games to assist with system integration, address electronic component issues and help keep the stadium’s technology operating throughout the event.

From demolition and structural integration to processing upgrades and ongoing game-day support, the South End Zone project demonstrates GoVision’s full-service approach to fixed LED installations — combining LED technology with project management, system integration and long-term service.
