Newly inducted member of THSADA Hall of Honor to guide premier LED video provider’s entry into Texas high school sports market
ARGYLE, Texas (July 18, 2024) – GoVision LLC, the premier provider of large-scale LED video displays, today announced that veteran high school sports administrator Philip ONeal has joined the company as Senior Advisor to help guide its game-changing entry into the Texas high school marketplace.
With its more than 20 years of high-profile sports venue experience at the collegiate and professional levels – bringing its state-of-the-art LED technology to virtually every sport from football, soccer and basketball to tennis, golf and endurance sports – GoVision has officially set its sights on the high school market, with an immediate focus on Texas high schools.
ONeal’s career in education spans nearly four decades, initially as a teacher and coach, and later as athletic director for 17 high schools and 23 middle schools across Texas. During that time, he supported 34 teams making state tournament appearances, nine of which won the state championship and 13 runners-up.
Among his many professional achievements, ONeal was inducted into the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association Class of 2024 Hall of Honor and was named its 2024 Athletic Director of the Year. He also serves as the immediate past president of the THSADA.
“It’s pretty simple, really. There’s no better person in Texas – perhaps in the entire nation – to help guide us into the high school sports market than Phil,” said Kevin Faciane, GoVision’s CEO & Partner. “We are proud and honored that he is joining our team during his well-earned retirement, and we are absolutely convinced that GoVision will quickly become a fixture in Texas high school sports thanks to his advice and counsel.”
GoVision is uniquely positioned to support the high school sector, given its status as the only national LED provider with both a rental and permanent install division. This enables the company to provide professional design, build, installation and service of pro-style video boards, in addition to one-stop rental needs for fan engagement, stadium and indoor commencements, and other events. GoVision’s vast rental inventory likewise allows for quick replacement of damaged LED screens and temporary deployment for special games or academic events. GoVision is the only Texas-based LED supplier with the ability to provide on-site repair and service on more than 35 LED manufacturer brands. The company is even launching an internship program for students wishing to consider the LED industry as a career.“While Jamie and I have certainly enjoyed the early days of our retirement, the opportunity to work with Kevin, Chris and the entire GoVision team was too exciting to pass up,” said ONeal, who retired in December and now lives in Katy, Texas, with Jamie, his wife of 38 years. “There’s no doubt that GoVision is uniquely positioned to address the distinct needs of our high schools, and I am looking forward to our LED video screens becoming a common sight across Texas and beyond in the months and years ahead.”
ONeal is a native of Dallas who earned his Eagle Scout in 1977 and graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1980. He attended Paris Junior College and later Wayland Baptist University on basketball scholarships. He graduated from WBU in 1986 and was a member of the 1985 NAIA National Runner-Up Basketball Team. ONeal later received his Masters in Educational Administrative Leadership from Tarleton State University.
